About this Initiative

‘Tech so simple, your mum could use it…’  That’s just rude, isn’t it? For mothers that were tired of hearing that, but needed assistance getting up to speed with technology, the #techmums charity stood ready to help.

Established by technology evangelist and UK Government advisor Dr Sue Black OBE, #techmums is empowering mothers in the poorest parts of the UK to learn the digital skills they need to secure skilled work and provide a better life for their children.

WPP agencies Cognified, Addison Group and Hogarth have worked together to amplify the work of the charity and take a five week course, covering everything from online safety to basic coding, onto a scalable digital platform.
